Description

Recognising the vital role that community pharmacy plays in the urgent care system, this training event will provide an update on minor ailments commonly seen in community pharmacy services.

Open to Community Pharmacists working within Nottinghamshire

This training will focus on Pharmacy First ailments including

  • Earache
  • Sore throat
  • Fever
  • Hay fever
  • Conjunctivitis
  • Teething
  • Bites, stings, allergies
  • Warts & verruca
  • Athletes foot
  • Constipation
  • Diarrhoea
  • Haemorrhoids
  • Threadworms
  • Vaginal thrush

Pragmatic approaches to assessment, diagnosis and treatment options will be discussed. Clinical updates and redflag identification will be discussed. Referral options will be discussed in context.

This training aims to increase confidence for those pharmacists dealing with minor ailments in the community.

Speaker

Conor McLaughlin - an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner and educator with considerable experience within Urgent/Unscheduled Care settings.


Funded and provided by the Nottinghamshire Urgent and Emergency Care Partnership this training is free of charge to pharmacists in Nottinghamshire. There is a £10 cancellation fee for non-attendance where cancellation has not been made online at least 7 days before the event date.

Unfortunately lunch is not provided.
