Training will include:

·Understanding what a visual impairment is

· Finding out about how the visual impairment affects the child

· Considering the impact of the environment and issues with mobility

· Experiencing (a little) of what it might be like to be visually impaired at school.

· Thinking about the technical and practical ways we can support a child with VI

· Understanding some of the factors affecting the visually impaired child’s access to the curriculum.

· Thinking about how a visual impairment might impact on a child’s social, emotional and behavioural skills
