We provide training to front line professionals/service providers who are supporting women who sell or exchange sex, aiming to raise awareness, support staff and help combat issues associated with stigma. We also welcome anyone with an interest in this area.
The following training elements are included:
- supporting women who sell or exchange sex
- overview of our outreach service - The Esther Project (TEP)
- the reasons why people might sell or exchange sex
- the spectrum of choice
- risks, issues and signs
- communication considerations - equipping staff and new approaches
- helping women stay safer
- signposting and other resources/support
We have some free spaces allocated to local partners/organisations working within Arun, Worthing, Adur & Chichester Local Authority Districts of West Sussex. Please email kath@yadauk.org to request a free ticket.
Feedback from previous training:
“The whole concept of going into conversations from a position of care for the individual has just managed to rid me of fear of having these conversations without sounding stupid because of my lack of direct experience....so thank you!”
