Description
Supporting young people (16-25) with Autism and their families: Avoiding crisis
This training has been commissioned jointly by NHS England and the Council for Disabled Children, and developed in co-production between Isabelle Garnett who has expertise in Autism, two young people with lived experience of Autism, and the Information, Advice and Support Services Network.
Aims of training:
The aim of the training is to upskill IAS workers on supporting young people with autism, and their families, through post sixteen including focus on avoiding crisis for those who may be vulnerable with regards to this.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the workshop participants will be upskilled on:

Managing your own health and your teams health when supporting families going through crisis
Who can attend?
This training is exclusively for IASS staff and volunteers only.
Evaluation
All delegates are required to complete the evaluation form before leaving the event.
Event location and times
This training starts at 10.00am sharp and finishes at 4.00pm so please arrive for registration in good time but no earlier than 9.30am onwards, as the training will start promptly. Please click the below link for full directions to venue.

Cancellation
Places at this training are free. However - participants who do not turn up, OR cancel less than 2 working days before the course, will incur a charge of £100. This is unless there are extenuating circumstances and the delegate has taken appropriate and reasonable steps, as per the IASSN no-show Policy, to enable someone else to attend in their stead.
