About this event

This 45-minute taster session introduces key ideas and practical strategies for engaging, motivating, and managing young people—particularly Generation Z—in the workplace.

As Gen Z joins the workforce with new expectations and needs, traditional leadership styles don’t always land well. Managers are finding that what worked in the past may now feel out of touch. Today’s young employees want more than a pay check.

In this session, we’ll explore how to build stronger relationships with younger employees, shift from being a “boss” to a mentor, and embrace a more developmental and inclusive management approach.

What’s in it for you?

The aim of this taster session is to help participants:

  • Understand what young people (especially Gen Z) value at work
  • Recognise what motivates and demotivates them
  • Explore how to adapt their management style to be more supportive and developmental
  • Build confidence in managing generational differences and neurodiversity
