This FREE event is designed to support parent/carers in Bracknell to think about what is positive and possible for young people with SEND as they prepare and move into their adult lives.

Hosted by the Bracknell Forest Parent Forum, facilitated by Julie Pointer from Preparing for Adulthood and supported by Contact a Family.

Includes free Coffee & Cake, Lunch, Crèche, Information Stalls and Goody Bags!

The outline for the day is as follows:

10.05 - Forum Re-launch presentation – Why you should join us

10.20 - Preparing for Adulthood – what are we trying to achieve, national picture and best practice (Julie Pointer – Preparing for Adulthood programme lead and South East rep)

11.20 - Coffee break

11.30 - Bracknell – the Local Picture (Bracknell Local Authority rep)

12.00 - Thinking about employment as a real option (Laura Davies – Ways into Work)

12.45 - Lunch

1.30 - What’s working locally? What are the gaps and challenges? (BFPF and Local Authority Facilitated group discussion)
