About this event
Supporting Your Child’s Transition from Primary to Secondary School
Would you like a better understanding of how to support your child with their move to secondary school? Would you like your child to feel prepared for their transition from primary school but are unsure how to help?
Join Dyslexia Sparks’ free parent/carer support group online - Supporting Your Child’s Transition from Primary to Secondary School, Thursday 9th June, 10am to 11am. This session will be of interest to any parents/carers wanting to gain an understanding of how to support their child in preparing for their move to secondary school this September.
Led by Dyslexia Sparks’ Senior Specialist Teacher and Assessor, Sam Buttle, the webinar will include:
• how parents can support their child with the transition leading up to September
• the practicalities of a move to high school and how parents can support with this
• tips to help students with their organisational skills
Places are free but limited and must be booked here in advance. A recording of the session will be sent to all registered attendees after the event.
Dyslexia Sparks is Hull and East Yorkshire’s only registered charity for dyslexia. The session is held as part of our free, monthly online parent support group which often features key topics and guest speakers.
