Event description
A Chamber webinar examining the challenges businesses have been forced to adapt to due to the pandemic

About this event

The unprecedented challenges of the pandemic have meant many businesses have been forced to adapt rapidly to a changing environment, and their teams have been forced to adapt too.

With tens of thousands in the North East still on furlough and that scheme due to end in September, many will be returning to very different workplaces to the ones they left.

For many this will mean getting to grips with new technology and new ways of working, for others it will mean retraining for new or changed roles and, unfortunately, for some this may mean redundancy.

Whatever the case, there is support available to help ease this transition.

In this session, we will hear from experts at the Education Development Trust, who run the National Careers Service in the region and will shortly be launching the Making a Difference job readiness programme.

The speaker will explain how to approach issues of return, retraining and redundancy, and how to signpost and support your colleagues through the process.

Speaker: Joanne Milnes, Area Manager, Education Development Trust
