Supporting your staff to develop their subject knowledge
Overview
NITE's free professional development series offers short, impactful sessions led by experienced educators to support the professional growth of teachers and school leaders.
Discover how you can support staff to develop their subject knowledge for improving pupil outcomes. This session will deconstruct the concept of subject knowledge and explore evidence-based approaches to personalising continuous professional development in a subject-specific context.
Learn how to empower your staff with the tools to plan their development in line with meeting pupil needs. Draw upon models of sharing expertise and collaborative communities of practice to enable you to support your staff in driving forward development in an accessible and practical way.
At the end of session, you will be equipped with a framework for exploring specific development needs with your staff, as well as a myriad of practical ideas that can be implemented quickly and easily to support CPD in your context.
