Are you looking to employ young people in your workplace? Working with 18-30 year olds and want to know how best to support them?

About this event

18–30 year-olds are disproportionately affected by poor mental health, impacting work performance and absenteeism. Research shows that healthy employees are happier, more productive and more engaged. We know, from experience, the challenges faced by young people as they transition into working life and also the benefits of supporting managers to better understand these challenges.

Workshop details:

This workshop will offer you evidence-based insights to help you support your young people and ensure that they thrive in your organisation.

• pressure, performance and the benefits of boosting resilience

• recognise the early signs of strain in yourself and your people

• learn from your own first experiences of working life

• communicate in a way that will get the best out of your young employees

The session will be delivered using Zoom and will be interactive with a combination of break out rooms, open discussions and the opportunity to network and share experiences with other participants.

Your facilitators:

Jane Saddler is a Coach and Health & Wellbeing Specialist at Core Coaching with more than 25 years’ experience of helping young people to build resilience. As a secondary school guidance teacher she understands the unique challenges faced by young people and is skilled in easing the transition from school to the workplace, using creative solutions in her support. She works with organisations to develop a healthy, thriving and productive workforce for business success. Using robust diagnostics, Jane enables businesses to identify resilience gaps, measure impact and support the design of bespoke wellbeing solutions.

Scott Hay is an experienced coach and workshop facilitator with over 17 years experience of coaching young people and adults around their personal and professional lives. Scott is passionate about supporting our young people to understand and step into their amazing potential. That led to him founding the social enterprise, Potential In Me CIC who provide a range of programmes to support young people and the adults who live or work with young people.

Our approach:

Together Scott and Jane’s two pronged approach delivers targeted, proactive support for both young people and their mangers, with measurable impact at individual and organisational level.
