About this Event
Please note there are three sessions for this course and you should attend all three.
Session 1 - 28/01/2021 - 9:30am to 12:00pm
Session 2 - 04/02/2021 - 9:30am to 12:00pm
Session 3 - 11/02/2021. - 9:30am to 12:00pm
About the session
At the end of the course participants will be able to:
• Understand Mental Health
• Understand current trends regarding Young People and Mental Health
• Recognise common Mental Health issues (Anxiety, Depression, Schizophrenia and Bipolar)
• Recognise Self Harm and Eating Disorders
• Respond to someone with a Mental Health issue, and know how to refer to support
• Understand self-help techniques, recovery and self-care
The course is supplemented by our SURE for Mental Health mobile phone app, which has handy how-to guides.
Suicide awareness is not covered in these sessions, but there is a supplementary webinar for those that would like to learn more. Take a look at our main Eventbrite page, here
Although we recommend that you have your camera on to benefit from the full experience of this webinar, attending with your camera off is fine, too.

Joining Instructions
1. A link and password to join the Zoom webinar will be emailed one day before the session and again one hour before the session. Please check your junk mailbox, if you have not received the link.
2. Upon joining the meeting, you will be put into a ‘waiting room’ until the host is ready to start. Five minutes after the start time, the webinar will close and no one else will be permitted to join.
