SURE for Mental Health - Male Suicide Awareness

About the session
Suicide is a subject matter that has long been treated with an element of anxiety or fear. Sadly suicide is a part of everyday society: every year 800,000 people die by suicide, and men are the most impacted. We believe it is important to have conversations about suicide, and to educate people on how to help someone who is struggling, and the referral routes that are available.
This webinar is aimed at providing information and advice regarding how to support someone with thoughts of suicide.
The aims of the session are to:
• recognise risk factors for suicide
• consider the impact of gender on suicide, in particular from a male perspective
• explore interventions for someone having thoughts of suicide
• identify referral routes, in particular for males with thoughts of suicide
