About the Session
Social Anxiety, sometimes known as social phobia, is a mental health condition, more than being simply shy, that can result in a person feeling extremely anxious in social situations for fear of being scrutinised or judged by others. As a result, people with social anxiety can become withdrawn, struggle with communication and feel isolated.
This issue may have become more of a problem for some as a result of this pandemic, however for others this may have been a way of being for a long time.
This webinar looks at the difference between anxiety and social anxiety, become aware of the signs and symptoms of social anxiety. It goes on to look at how to handle this and communicate needs more effectively and considers how looking after our emotional wellbeing by self care can help.

Mae Pryder Cymdeithasu, a elwir weithiau yn ffobia cymdeithasol, yn gyflwr iechyd meddwl sy’n fwy na dim ond bod yn swil, ac mae’n gallu arwain weithiau at deimlo’n bryderus tu hwnt mewn sefyllfaoedd cymdeithasol oherwydd bod yr unigolyn yn ofni y bydd eraill yn craffu arno neu’n ei farnu. O ganlyniad, gall pobl â phryder cymdeithasu encilio, cael cyfathrebu’n anodd a theimlo’n ynysig.
Gallai’r mater hwn fod wedi dod yn fwy o broblem i rai o ganlyniad i’r pandemig hwn, ond i eraill, mae’n bosibl mai dyma sut maen nhw wedi bod ers amser maith.
Mae’r weminar hon yn bwrw golwg ar y gwahaniaeth rhwng gorbryder a phryder cymdeithasu, gan ddod yn ymwybodol o arwyddion a symptomau pryderu cymdeithasol. Mae’n mynd ymlaen i fwrw golwg ar sut i ymdrin â hyn a chyfleu anghenion yn fwy effeithiol, ac mae’n ystyried sut gall gofalu am ein lles emosiynol trwy hunanofal helpu.
