Join Halima and Izzy in this workshop to slow down, and notice the textures and forms revealed through the weathering within the Brunswick Park. We will take you on a journey, collecting autumnal relics and creating responses through drawing and making.
Participants will consider altered perspectives, using assemblage and three-dimensional processes to record and create new relationships between the nature co-existing in the park. Together we will explore the mimicry between patterns and processes of weathering across different seasons; as well as the textural and sculptural intrigue that autumn brings.
All abilities are welcome as this workshop is focused on experimentation and play. You will finish the session with a collection of visual responses and ideas on how to approach making and researching towards abstraction.

Materials and Cost
This workshop is Pay What You Can with a recommended price of £7 to cover materials and planning. Please note the booking system will only allow you to book one ticket at a time.
The route is accessible and our resource sheet will include information on where to find various facilities. There is no toilet in the park.
The walk will start in Brunswick Park and finish at Grove House Tavern to expand our ideas from the walk. A range of materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own as well.
About the day...
The session will start promptly at 11:00 outside Outhouse gallery, there will be an opportunity to see the exhibition when the gallery opens. If you would like a coffee beforehand, NoNo cafe is nearby.
