About this event

Inspired by The Box Museum’s current surrealism exhibition, this workshop invites you to explore your subconscious and creative instincts through a series of guided, experimental drawing and collage exercises.

We’ll begin with a short guided meditation to ground and open the imagination, followed by automatic drawing practices that tune into play and intuition. You'll then be encouraged to develop your own visual language through imaginative and expressive mark-making.

Using a variety of papers, textures, layering techniques, colour, and tone, you’ll reflect on your discoveries and be supported in developing a style or approach you wish to explore further. With gentle guidance and a focus on play and possibility, this is a space for reflection, risk-taking, and artistic growth.

Who It’s For:

Artists, illustrators, students or anyone - wanting to explore creative experimental techniques. No prior experience necessary.

Open to all levels – from beginners to experienced artists- some materials provided but also do bring your own too.

Sunday 17th August, 10.30am-1.30pm
