This course provides basic sexual health training for professionals working in Surrey. It covers STIs, relationships and will better equip professionals to:
Give an overview of sexual health which includes consent, risk reduction and being aware of policies such as 'spotting the signs'
Provide chlamydia and Gonorrhoea testing
Sign up and provide the C-Card (condom distribution scheme)
Develop the skills required to have meaningful conversations with young people about relationships and sex empowering them to achieve safe, consensual and healthy sex lives.
Identify different methods of contraception and how they prevent pregnancy
Explore the most common STIs and how to prevent them
Gain information on campaigns, services and initiatives

Please note: While this training is free to you and your organisation, there can be a big impact on our trainers and our targets if you book a place and then do not attend the course. Please consider this when applying for places, and speak to your manager about prioritising your attendance on these courses. And please advise us if you can longer attend. Failure to let us know will result in a £50 non-attendance fee.
