Surrey County Council believe that vital data on Children in Care in their Virtual Schools should be up-to-date and available to the professionals who need it, in Social Care or Education departments. Furthermore, that data should update automatically without delay, manual entry or potential quality issues that are associated with rekeying information.

The results achieved over the last three years have made a real difference to the way the service has operated, winning praise from DfE for their data quality. The authority is now building on this success with an increasing range of projects designed to free-up key worker’s time and to ensure the best outcomes for vulnerable children.
