Surrey Clerks Briefing Autumn Term 25-26

The Continuing Professional Development focus for our autumn term briefing will concentrate on developing a robust knowledge of governance structures, schemes of delegation, standing orders and terms of reference for maintained schools.

Participants will be able to:

- gain a clear understanding of the different governance structures in maintained schools

- be equipped to guide governors on the appropriate approach to delegated authorities

- provide guidance on the content and purpose of standing orders and terms of reference
