Surrey Docks Farm Foreshore Walk
Sat 29 April 2017, 10:00 – 11:30 BST
Join the Thames Discovery Programme for a guided foreshore walk at Surrey Docks and learn more about the fascinating and unique archaeology and history of the River Thames. The Surrey Docks foreshore is the site of extensive ship building and ship breaking industries, as well as many preserved fish traps.
Please meet at the river stairs near Surrey Docks Farm (nearest station: Canada Water) at 10am. This walk for adults will take place on the foreshore and sturdy walking boots or wellingtons are advised. Please note that the foreshore surface can be very uneven. In case of inclement weather, the walk may be postponed or cancelled. Do contact us if you have any questions about the event.
Thanks to funding from City Bridge Trust, our events are free for Londoners aged over 75.
