Surrey Professionals working with Adults - Part 1 of 2 of Autism Suicide Prevention Training.

This training has been commissioned by Surrey County Council. Developed and delivered in partnership between Autism Oxford UK and Making Families Count.

Surrey Autism Suicide Prevention Training Part 1 - Overview

Develop an understanding of how suicidal thoughts are communicated within the autistic community, taking into account communication differences.
Examine and dispel myths and misconceptions surrounding suicide in the autistic community.
Identify high-risk factors for suicide, including the impact of being autistic, and explore mental health and triggers associated with these risks.
Equip delegates with the knowledge needed to support autistic individuals who experience suicidal thoughts.
Discuss autism-specific suicide prevention resources that can aid in providing support and intervention.

This training is commissioned by Surrey County Council for professionals working with adults (across education and healthcare) within the county of Surrey only - Any tickets booked outside this will be cancelled.

*** Please note: It is a requirement that delegates complete a pre-training module online and attend both sessions of this training (Part 1 Training Session and Part 2 Reflective Session) for the full duration of the sessions in order to finish the training in its entirety. Only then will a certificate of completion be issued.
