Event

SSTC Club will hold a Closed to Club Beechwood Plumbing and Heating Championship Round3 Trial, held under the National Sporting Code and the Trials Standing Regulations of ORMS, and any final Instructions that may be issued at the start of the trial, at Manor Farm, Langrish, Petersfield, GU32 1RD on Saturday 20th September at 1pm - What3Words ///stuff.wins.afternoon

Jurisdiction:

Eligibility

Riders must be a current member of SSTC and hold a current Offroad Motorsport UK (ORMS) Trials Registration and living within the permitted travelling distance from the venue. Day licences are available at a cost of £5.00 per rider.

Entries will close on Friday 19th June at 19:00, day entries are available on the day.

Classes

This will be an observed trial and there will be: Rookie, Beginner, 50/50 Beginner, Novice, 50/50 Novice, Intermediate and Expert and Adult Beginner, Adult Novice, Adult Intermediate, Adult Expert

Course

The course will comprise of 8 observed sections to be ridden 4 times. Riders will follow a one way system around the sections.

Youth Competitors must ensure they have:

All riders must be competent on the bike they are riding and if the Clerk of the Course deems the rider to be unsafe, the rider will not be able to compete on that bike for their own safety and the safety of other riders and officials.

Age 4 - Small wheel Electric powered machines up to 2bhp measured at the rear wheel.

Age 6 -80cc Combustion Engine or Electric up to 7bhp measured at the rear wheel

Age 12 - 125cc Mono or up to 250cc Twinshock** combustion engine, and Electric up to 10bhp measured at the rear wheel. ** Twinshock machines over 125cc must have twin rear suspension units and drum brakes as at the time of manufacture.

Age 16 - 250cc Mono or up to 250cc Twinshock** combustion engine, and Electric up to 10bhp measured at the rear wheel. ** Twinshock machines over 125cc must have twin rear suspension units and drum brakes as at the time of manufacture.

ALL YOUTH RIDERS MUST WEAR: HELMET, GLOVES, LONG SLEEVES AND PROTECTIVE BOOTS

Acknowledgement of the risks of Motorsport:- I/We understand that by taking part in this event I/We are exposed to a risk of death, becoming permanently disabled or suffering some other serious injury and I/We acknowledge that even in the event that negligence on the part of the O.R.M.S., the promoter, the organising club, the venue owner, or any individual carrying out duties on their behalf were to be a contributory cause of any serious injury I/We may suffer, the dominant cause of any serious injury will always be my/our voluntary decision to take part in a high risk activity. I/We have read the above and acknowledge that my/our participation in motorsport is entirely at my/our own risk.

SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS 2025

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• SSTC Championship Trials are Offroad Motorsport UK members and non-members. Non-members must obtain the Day Licence ticket to enable them to ride on the day, ensuring all relevant sections are completed on Eventbrite.

• Day entries will be available and day licences can be purchased by non-members for a fee of £5.00

• We must have in advance of any trial or practice the names of riders, officials and if applicable observers attending. If we don not have enough observers, we cannot run the trial.

WHO CAN RIDE SSTC EVENTS?

• SSTC members with a current ORMS Trials Registration

• Non-members can purchase a Day Licence for ORMS for a fee of £5.00 as a one off – if you wish to ride regularly, you need to join SSTC and obtain a Trials Registration Licence from ORMS.

PUBLICITY/COMMUNICATION

• All events for SSTC will be advertised on our Website and Facebook page, links to online entry can be found on both.

• SSTC use Eventbrite as a pre-entry system for the majority of our events, we also run a small number of events through the ACU which can be found on their website.

• Once you have entered on Eventbrite/ACU, you will receive final instructions the day before the event.

• When completing an online entry form or paper signing-on form, you are agreeing to allow photos taken at the event to be used to promote the sport on website, social media and newspapers.

ENTERING EVENTS

• Membership is validated using membership records within the club; however, riders should carry their ORMS card as photographic identification

• If you pre-enter or enter on the day with out an ORMS Trials Registration, you will be require to complete a ORMS Day Licence form and pay a £5.00 fee.

• Entry fee for SSTC trials is £12.00 Youth and £18.00 Adults.

• Adults are permitted to ride at our 3rd Saturday trials only.

ON THE DAY

• Please make your way to the Signing-On desk to register, sign on (a responsible adult must sign for any rider under the age of 18 years) and you will receive your riding number.

• By completing the information on Eventbrite you will provide all rider details and this will replace the traditional signing-on form.

• Once you have completed the Eventbrite registration form, you will agree to:

a) Having read, understood and agree to all regulations and supplementary regulations,

b) Accepting parental responsibility of riders under the age of 18 years.

• Riders must provide details of an emergency contact, who is available on the day of the trial.

RIDING THE TRIAL

Put your rider number on the front of your bike and the back of your helmet, using the riding number issued for the trial by the Club.

• There will be a verbal briefing at the start. Supplementary instructions will be posted on the Notice Board.

• Parents are responsible for ensuring that their child rides carefully and respectfully in the car park area and between sections. Any riding deemed to be unsafe or putting others in danger will be asked to leave the event.

• Please do not double up, skip sections, back track, or ride in the wrong direction.

• Each class will be given a section to start at to avoid unnecessary queuing.

• You must not ride through sections to get to the next section if there are riders in the section.

• Bikes will be subject to a safety inspection; a Machine Examiner will check the bike for basic safety.

• If the Clerk of the Course deems the rider to be unsafe, the rider will not be able to compete on that bike for their own safety and the safety of other riders and officials.

• OBSERVERS

• The trial would not run without observers, all riders must respect any decision from the observer. Any aggression or rudeness will not be tolerated, anyone found to be doing this will be asked to leave the event.

• It is polite and courteous to thank the observer at the end of the trial – it is also a good opportunity to make sure you have completed all 4 laps!

FIRST AID

• A list of trained First Aiders is in the signing on desk along with the First Aid Kit.

• In the event of an accident report to the secretary and if possible, locate one of the designated First Aiders.

• If necessary, the secretary of the meeting will ask you to complete some paperwork for insurance purposes.

OTHER INFORMATION

• SSTC have a tea urn and we provide tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Please bring your own mug and some loose change for our charity pot!

• Children under 10 years of age are not allowed to use the tea urn, all youths must be supervised when using the urn.

• There are no waste collection points, so please take all litter home with you.

• The majority of venues do not have toilet facilities
