About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

There's a shibboleth in the wine industry, that in order to create great wine, the vines have to suffer... a bit. However, there are regions and producers that take this to, above and beyond the next level, stretching the very limits of where anything whatsoever is able to grow at all.

From dizzying altitudes in Salta, Argentina to crumbling slate soils in Priorat, Spain, the northern boundaries of grape-growing and the ever-looming challenges of climate change, tonight we will explore the grapes, growers and regions that are defying the odds and the constrictions of common sense.

Our shop tastings start at 7.30pm and run for approximately one-and-a-half to two hours. We will taste 6-8 wines on a theme, and bread, cheese and charcuterie is provided to match with the wines. Due to the communal nature of the tasting, we are unable to cater for dietary requirements.
