Join the South and East Museums Federation for a Study Day at Watford Museum to find out how the museum is developing innovative and successful partnerships with local organisations. Plus, we'll take a visit to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London for a twilight tour of the iconic Harry Potter film sets!
11.30am - Welcome and refreshments, including a performance by New Connections, Watford Museum’s Over 50s Dance Company.
12pm - Introduction to the day followed by ‘Watford Museum - a potted history and how it operates now’ – Sarah Priestley.
Brief tour of museum given by the museum team.
12.30-1pm - Watford Museum Partnerships – Connecting a diverse town and placing the museum at the heart of the community.
1- 2.15pm - Lunch, including discussion tables and 5 minute updates from members.
2.15pm - Premier League Partners – Spotlight on Watford Museum’s unique partnership with Watford Football Club and fans. Watford FC's Supporter Liaison Officer will talk about what the club get out of the partnership.
2.30pm - Animation Filmmaking Workshop with museum partners Mew Lab. How museums can co-create, making a SEMFed short animated film as part of the Watford Big Word Fest.
4pm - Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour – Introduction given by the Head of Visitor Services before Twilight Tour.
