Pulling together strategies from neuroscience, attachment theory, and therapeutic parenting. This workshop focuses on solution focused approaches to helping parents & carers deal with the many difficult challenges they face when parenting a child with high anxieties.

Learning Outcomes:

  • What is negative behaviour and what is your child trying to say?
  • Why do our own emotions influence our child's behaviour?
  • Why don't reward charts work for my child?
  • What solution focused strategies exist?
  • How can you apply these strategies at home?

About the Trainer:

Tracy Chadwick is the founder of the Child Therapy Service CIC. As a teacher of social, emotional and mental health children, she feels a huge passion for the need of greater understanding of mental health in children. Working with nurseries and schools to establish positive emotional well-being and mental health environments. She is committed to raise awareness of mental health in young children and look at preventative ways education settings can adapt their approach to meet a child's emotional needs. Tracy is also a mum of a child with high anxieties, she knows what it's like to be asked, 'have you tried a sticker chart?'.
