Description

Key Challenges

In the referendum held on 23rd June 2016, voters decided that the UK would leave the European Union. This is a major political and economic event which will take several years to implement, and the consequences will last for decades.

What are your strategies to respond to Brexit?

Unfortunately, it is not yet clear what form Brexit will take and so it is difficult to plan how to cope with it. With most information presented in the media based on speculation, wishful thinking or scaremongering, depending upon your point of view, it is difficult for companies to see how they can plan a response to Brexit. Angus Economics and Perth Innovation have brought together expertise in economic assessment and in strategy development to offer a Surviving Brexit Workshop to help companies to develop a robust response to Brexit.

Workshop Objectives

To facilitate the process of developing strategies, based on an unbiased, unspun awareness of the likely impact of Brexit, that will enable participants to formulate their response.

Process

The workshop will be split into two parts.

1) Shona will introduce the main economic impacts of Brexit, from a neutral, unspun point of view – based on official data on what has happened since Brexit and an independent economist’s knowledge of how the economy works.

2) The participants will look at how their strengths and weaknesses will affect how they can react to the opportunities and threats that Brexit will bring. Using well established thinking tools, Billy will facilitate the process of developing concepts for how the participant companies can Survive Brexit.

Coffees, teas and lunch are included.

"Make no mistake, Billy and Shona are experts in strategy and economics!

I recently attended the “Surviving Brexit” workshop. The content was relevant and insightful and presented in an engaging and easily digestible fashion. It provided clarity about the current environment, helped me focus upon opportunities and motivated me to act.

I would highly recommend any business leader to attend the event."
