Surviving The Gap – First steps
Overview
Surviving The Gap – An introduction to wellbeing for job hunters
Surviving The Gap is a series of workshops designed to help you navigate the emotional challenges of job hunting. Whether you are between jobs or looking to move in a new direction, these workshops offer a safe space to consider your well-being and to explore tools to help you boost your resilience.
- Are you feeling overwhelmed by the current economic climate?
- Are you struggling with the search for work?
- Is the recruitment process getting you down?
The workshop will last approximately 2 hours including time for further questions and discussion.
What we will cover:
- Recognition of Emotions: We understand that being between jobs can be challenging. This workshop offers a space to start to acknowledge and manage the emotional aspects of your job search.
- Consideration of Stress: Review the physical and emotional effects of stress and consider practical strategies to manage fight, flight, freeze and fawn responses, enhancing your ability to think creatively and perform better.
- Personal Reflection: Through individual, small and general group exercises you will have the opportunity to reflect on your current situation, identify challenges and explore personal reactions. This reflection helps in building awareness and developing personalised coping strategies.
- Practical Tools: We will introduce you to tools and techniques that you can use every day to enhance your awareness, self-care and self-management.
