Welcome to the Sussex Air Quality Conference
Join the Sussex Air Partnership at the University of Sussex on Thursday 9th October for a day filled with insightful discussions on all things air quality. Whether you're a local authority officer, local councillor, health worker or simply interested in the topic, this event is perfect for anyone looking to learn more about the impact of air pollution on our physical health, our environment and climate change. Experts from the worlds of academia, the NHS and Public Health will provide insight into the issue and provide examples of projects helping to combat the health effects.
Network with like-minded individuals and experts in the field, and leave feeling inspired to make a difference. Don't miss out on this opportunity to expand your knowledge and learn how you can contribute to a cleaner, healthier world!
The event is free to all and includes lunch and refreshments. Sussex University has excellent public transport links and Ride for their Lives will lead cycle rides from Lewes, Eastbourne and Brighton to the conference.

Frequently asked questions
The focus for the Sussex Air Quality Conference is on Air Quality and Health, with speakers from the NHS, Imperial College London, UKHSA, Sussex Local authorities and active travel.
There is no registration fee or cost to attend the conference. Spaces will be limited and we would ask that delegates who book tickets but can no longer attend cancel their tickets to allow those on the waiting list to attend.
The Sussex Air Quality Conference will be an in person event only with no option to attend virtually.
The Sussex Air Quality Conference will be held at Bramber House, University of Sussex, Falmer campus BN1 9QU. The Sussex University campus is easily accessible by bus, train and there are led cycle rides from Brighton, Lewes and Eastbourne for delegates who would like to cycle to the conference.
The capacity for the conference is 200 including delegates and speakers. We have had a huge amount of interest and are expecting a full house with all 200 tickets being taken. If you are thinking of attending, book your ticket early to avoid disappointment.
There will be the opportunity to network with other delegates during the breaks and lunchtime, however no formal networking sessions have been arranged.
Yes, you will be able to earn 5 hours of professional development by attending the conference. If you contact the conference organiser after the event a CPD certificate will be sent to you.
The Sussex Air Quality Conference will not be recorded, however we will be able to share the presentations. If you would like a copy of the presentations, please contact the conference organiser after the event.
