Sussex Museums Group invites members to attend their forthcoming event held in partnership with The Collections Trust. The topic will share the theme of Collections Trusts 2016 Conference 'Who needs digitised collections?' The Event will be held in the New Millennium Chamber in Manor House, at Littlehampton Museum on Friday 14th October, 10:30am- 3:30pm.
Please arrive at 10.30 am for tea and coffee. After a brief business meeting we will be joined by Sarah Brown, Outreach Officer from the Collections Trust, Kevin Bacon, Digital Development Officer at Brighton & Hove Museums and Casper Johnson, County Archaeologist. Topics up for discussion will be making metadata work for you, how to use DAM (Digital Asset Management) Systems and new ways of archiving archaeological material.
There will also be an opportunity to pre-book an Accreditation Surgery with Kate Hebditch from the South East Museums Service and Sarah Brown from the Collections Trust, to discuss your next Accreditation submission or any aspect of your forward plan objectives. The 15-20 minute slots are offered on a first come first serve basis, and must be booked in advance of the Event by contacting Rob Symmons at firstname.lastname@example.org.
