Event description

Description

Simon Shaw leads Sustain’s work on food poverty. This work focuses on highlighting and encouraging sustainable responses to food poverty, particularly where they address the root causes of food poverty. Sustain: The alliance for better food and farming advocates food and agriculture policies and practices that enhance the health and welfare of people and animals, improve the working and living environment, enrich society and culture and promote equity. Sustain is is a core partner of the End Hunger UK campaign and a founding partner of the UK Food Poverty Alliance.

The Food Power programme will support communities to develop responses with the support of their peers from other communities across the UK. The four-year programme is led by Sustain and Church Action on Poverty and is funded by the Big Lottery Fund.

The seminar will be followed by lunch provided by a local chairty and networking.
