At St Andrews Business Club, we’re already thinking ahead to what our New Year resolutions/challenges might be.
One such aim might be making your business practices more environmentally sound. For example, reducing your carbon footprint by reducing travel, using more green technology, etc.
Whatever you’re thinking about, it makes business, and environmental, sense to do the right thing by the planet and future generations, whilst also offering other more immediate benefits.

Our first event of the New Year brings this in to focus with three guest speakers:
Resource Efficient Scotland – the national advisor to business in this area
Muir Walker Pride – a St Andrews company being recognised for its sustainable practices
University of St Andrews’ sustainability manager - to share its work in this area and explain how the University communicates its sustainability message and how you assess what issues most appeal to your customers

Fiona Flynn, Resource Efficient Scotland

Fiona is an Implementation Advisor on the Resource Efficient Scotland programme from Zero Waste Scotland.

She works closely with SMEs to help them identify opportunities to reduce their resource use and implement changes
Fiona will give an overview of the importance of businesses reducing their resource use and operating more sustainably by answering the questions of why and how can SMEs make their business environmentally sustainable and what are the benefits of doing so.
Fiona will also outline the impartial expert support available from Resource Efficient Scotland support.
