About this event
Sustainability is a hot topic but do you know your carbon neutral from your zero waste and why does it matter for you and your business?
This session will provide an introduction to the concept of ‘sustainability’, offering insight and clarification on the following topics:
- Background and current trends: why do we need to be more sustainable as a business community?
- From zero carbon to zero waste: what do all the different terms mean?
- How can being more ‘sustainable’ benefit your business?
- The ‘people, planet, profit’ triple bottom line: how it is possible to balance all three
- Current and upcoming sustainability legislation to be aware of and how to be ahead of the game
- Small and simple steps: how to start the journey towards sustainability with confidence
This workshop is designed to clarify and demystify sustainability jargon and give an overview of the ecological and financial benefits to embracing sustainability. With renewed clarity on what ‘sustainability’ means, business owners can start to consider which areas of their business might benefit from a sustainability tweak and can start to make a plan in that direction.
