Keynote Speaker: Michael Burns, Sustainable Glasgow
At Glasgow University there is a wide variety of exciting research going on exploring technologies and ideas that will help to transform our society towards sustainability. Please join us for an afternoon of exchanging creative and innovative ideas. We will have a 'festival of sustainability' organised in a similar way as a Mini-TED-conference.
Can you convey your smart ideas in a 5 minute presentation with only 3 slides? Are you interested in how the future world may look?
If you would like to speak at the festival (regardless of whether you are a student, a researcher or an academic) and have the chance to win an iPad for the best presentation, then please send a rough title of your mini-talk to David.Wright@glasgow.ac.uk.
The festival will also include a keynote speech and will conclude with 'Cheese and Wine'.

Glasgow Sustainable Development Network
The University of Glasgow has a significant history of sustainability-related research involving at least 10% of academic staff. This represents a spread of expertise over all Colleges of the University. Our expertise also includes satellite centres such as the Scottish Universities Environmental Research Centre (SUERC), the Dumfries campus and the Scottish Centre for Ecology and Natural Environmental (SCENE) at Rowardennan, Loch Lomond.
