Chevening Alumni Sustainability Network is pleased to invite you the 2022 events hosted Chevening Sustainability Network (CSN) in collaboration with Chevening Alumni Alliance (CAA+).
About the Sustainability Network
Chevening Alumni Sustainability Network (CSN) formed in 2019 as a forum for CAA members with a common interest and passion in the field of environmental science, sustainability, energy and international development. The events are open to all Chevening Scholars and Alumni who want to network with those interested in sustainability within their respective fields.
About the event
With new targets rolling out after the COP26 Chevening Sustainability Network (CSN) presents two alumni experts in green finance to discuss with us what are challenges to achieve net zero and beyond within the proposed time frames. Our speakers will present different perspectives in this panel discussion co-chaired by Krishan Insan and Zeynep Kacmaz.

SPEAKER 1 – Nermin Daul - Advisor, International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO)
Nermin is a policy advisor at the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) based in Madrid, Spain. His particular focus is on international standards in corporate reporting, sustainable finance, audit and accounting. He is passionate about building sound global capital markets and a robust global regulatory framework, especially in relation to sustainable finance, including ESG-related opportunities, risks and disclosures, as well as advancements and innovative solutions in this area. Nermin is an economist and a chartered accountant with prior experience in international economic and policy analysis, financial services industry audits and investigations of global cases of alleged misconduct across various industries. Nermin was a Chevening scholar in 2009/2010 at the University of Glasgow .
SPEAKER 2 - Emmanuel Artusa-Barrell, Investment Stewardship, MFS Investment Management
Emmanuel has worked in several areas related to risk management, including socio-political and security risks across many countries and industries in Latin America. He previously worked for several embassies in Argentina and for NGOs such as the Okita Foundation, writing reports on bilateral trade, investment and market opportunities for the Japanese Embassy. Emmanuel holds a degree in international relations from the Catholic University of Salta, a Masters of Science in Risk, Crisis and Disaster Management from the University of Leicester, a Masters in Business Administration from the Catholic University of Argentina and a Masters of Science in international business and politics from Queen Mary University of London after being awarded the FCO Chevening Scholarship in 2016 -2017. He has recently completed the GRI Standards and the CFA's ESG Investing official certification programmes.

Alison Midgley, WWF Sustainable Finance Specialist, Chevening 2016
Alison is Sustainable Finance Specialist at WWF, with focal areas in Sustainable Development in Sub-Saharan Africa, and sustainable oceans, food and climate finance. She is a 2016 Chevening Scholar with an MSc. In Environmental Technology, Imperial College.
Zeynep Kacmaz Milne, MD/Zaikine Research and Consulting
Zeynep is a lecturer, consultant and entrepreneur working in higher education and business management. As a Chevening scholar she obtained her MSc in International Marketing degree from University of Strathclyde in 1994.
Olga Diachenko
Olga is co-founder of a fintech social impact startup and the Chair of Russian Chevening Alumni Association. She is a 2013 Chevening Scholar holding MSc in International Business Economics from City University of London.
