About this event

About the talk

Matthew and Dido will use historical examples and current projects to talk about material life cycles and the relationship between earth systems, building components and architecture.

About the speakers

Matthew Barnett Howland & Dido Milne are directors at CSK Architects in Eton, where they collaborate on building life cycles that respond to the complex relationship between architecture and natural ecosystems. They designed and built Cork House and are currently working on a commercial mixed-use building in hempcrete for a biodynamic farm in Berkshire, and a new country house built from stone reclaimed on site. Matthew is also Associate Professor at The Bartlett School of Architecture UCL.
