Event description
Come and join us for a day of green volunteering at Cannon Hall

About this event

Details:

In the run up to the UN's COP26 climate change conference, Barnsley Council is running a series of events and activities to get everyone talking about sustainability and how we can take action to protect our borough for future generations.

During the volunteering day, we will be working in the parkland at Cannon Hall to cut back hedging and remove self set saplings to improve the habitat value of the hedgerow. This will increase the growth of the hedge and provide cover for wildlife, a good food source and the regeneration of the hedge will contribute to the production of oxygen.
