SustainAble for All

Terms like eco-friendly, climate change, and sustainability are everywhere in today’s conversations — and for good reason. The message is clear: our planet is in danger, and it’s up to all of us to help protect it.But what happens when access to clear, practical information on climate change and sustainable living isn’t available to everyone?

Forth Valley Sensory Centre, Falkirk, FK1 4DDFor many people in our communities living with sight or hearing loss, finding and engaging with environmental initiatives can be a real challenge. From understanding local projects to getting involved in sustainability efforts, the barriers to inclusion are significant — and often overlooked.

That’s why Forth Valley Sensory Centre, in support of the Scottish Government’s Public Engagement Strategy for Climate Change, has partnered with FEL Scotland to deliver a project called SustainAble For All.Together, we’re developing an accessible, interactive map that showcases sustainable projects across Forth Valley.

The map will highlight:

- What each project involves

- Who it may be of interest to

- How to get involved

This initiative, set to launch in Spring 2026, is more than just a tool — it's a journey.

Throughout its development, we’ll be connecting with our own Centre users and reaching out to community groups to build stronger, more inclusive links.
