Join us at the University of West London for an engaging lecture, delivered by Professor Kay Mafuba.

The Francis Report (2013), highlighted poor leadership and systems failure that resulted in inadequate standards of care at Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust. The subsequent government response (DH 2014) proposed fundamental changes in how decisions on sustainable safe staffing levels in healthcare services are made. Kay explores the elusive evidence base for sustainable safe staffing levels in learning disability services. He discusses how the development, and utility of the ‘Context of care tool’ in assessing healthcare organisations’ compliance with factors that are essential for the delivery of sustainable, safe and compassionate care in community and hospital settings.
