You are invited to our Sustainable Streets community feedback session for Woolwich.
The Council is committed to creating a greener, safer and more sustainable borough. As part of this our Sustainable Streets programme aims to reduce car journeys and encourage more people to walk, cycle or use public transport to reduce air pollution and traffic, and improve road safety.
We want to create streets that make better use of our existing road space and pavements. This could involve a range of measures to improve the local street scene, such as improved parking management so parking is prioritised for residents and businesses, in addition to safer crossing points, electric vehicle charge points, secure cycle parking, and car club bays.
The Council is currently undertaking consultation on Sustainable Streets proposals for the areas of Charlton, Kidbrooke and Blackheath, Thamesmead West and Woolwich based on the valuable insight we received back from residents in February.
Upcoming community drop-in events
If you were not able to attend one of our events in Woolwich Town Hall during August, we are also holding another round of events in each of the proposed areas in September. These events will be drop-ins where you will have the opportunity to speak to a member of the team about the proposals for your area and street, ask questions and leave feedback.
Each drop-in has two separate sessions, so that we can accommodate as many people as possible, please only book for one session. If you are attending the later session, you may be asked to wait outside if there’s not enough space in the venue to accommodate everyone. You do not need to stay for the whole duration of the slot.
If you are unable to attend the event for your area there is a final online event:
