Description

Sustainable Supply Chains that reduce CO2 and cost
‘Do you know the impact of your supply chain on climate change’?

Life Cycle Thinking - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

Date: 26 March 2019
Time: 9.00am to 15.00 pm
Location: Stonecross Manor Hotel, Kendal, LA9 5HP

Eco-innovation Cumbria invites you to learn more about Life Cycle Thinking and the benefits it can bring to your business at this fully funded workshop delivered by the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan).

Learn to identify and reduce CO2 and cost in your supply chain through Life Cycle Thinking (LCT).

Whether you’re a manufacturer or a service delivery business, this interactive workshop is a fantastic introduction on how to use LCT to develop a sustainable supply chain that benefits your business and helps to limit climate change.

What is the workshop about?
LCT and the Business Model Canvas provide a tool for companies to identify and reduce the resources they use to manufacture products or provide services that are sold to customers.

At this workshop you’ll learn how to use the step by step approach that LCT provides to identify key areas for reducing CO2 in your own supply chain.

You’ll take part in the following sessions:

  • Understanding Life Cycle Thinking (LCT) and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
  • Practical session on LCT and LCA for Businesses
  • LCT Workshop and demonstration
  • Business Model Canvas and the Circular Economy
  • LCT plan for your business to help reduce CO2 and business cost

Why Life Cycle Thinking, and how can it benefit my business?
LCT provides a tool to help you reduce, reuse and recycle, and can bring a wealth of opportunities for your business, including:

  • Saving money
  • Increasing profit
  • Improving competitiveness
  • Benefiting our environment by reducing CO2

You’ll explore this in more depth throughout the workshop and also get the chance to network with other Cumbria-based businesses.

Who is eligible to attend this workshop?
This workshop is open to small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) in Cumbria that meet ERDF eligibility criteria: less than 250 FTE employees and turnover less than 50m euros or balance sheet total less than 43m euros.

Register today to secure your place. We look forward to seeing you soon.
