Sustaining our Healthcare Workforce - 11th RMS Annual Student Conference
Event Information
About this Event
This conference will explore the status of workplace wellbeing in healthcare and what is being done to improve this. The day will consist of panel discussions, workshops and student presentations.
We are hosting leaders of NHS Lothian staff networks to discuss the impact of covid-19 on minority groups, among other topics. Confirmed workshops include a nurse turned yoga teacher who will discuss power dynamics at work and a clinical psychologist who will explore staff resilience and compassion in culture. We will have a total of six workshops with attendees participating in two of their choice.
Attendees can also enter our abstract competition. We welcome abstracts from all fields of medicine and of all levels, from SSC group projects to published papers. The top abstracts will be selected for presentation and Q&A, with runners up entered into the short presentation competition. Successful abstracts may be published in RES MEDICA: the peer-reviewed journal of the RMS.
Furthermore, we are running a mystery raffle in conjunction with the conference. All attendees will receive a raffle entry per conference session attended and successful abstract entrants will receive an extra raffle entry.
