Advisor Training Conference
Description: This year, we’ve again assembled admissions experts from 10+ top universities in the US. From plenary sessions to breakout workshops, with roundtable discussions headed by college/university admissions officers from across the US, this conference is not only hands-on but tailor-made to answer your specific questions.
Date: Friday, 27 September from 9 am - 4 pm just before our USA College Day university fair
Location: Kensington Close Hotel (closest tube: High Street Kensington in Central London)
Cost: Please note, the conference registration fee for the general public is £100. Through generous grant support from the US Department of State, we are able to offer Sutton Trust schools the opportunity to register one representative (the "counsellor" for each student) for a nominal £5** registration fee to cover materials.
We hope this will provide the training you need to assist your student apply to US universities this autumn.
Payment Options: The default payment option in Eventbrite is to pay by credit card online. We prefer that you use this option if possible.

9 am arrival and registration
9:30 am – 4 pm, Schools Conference (lunch provided)
Directly following the Conference (at 4:10 pm) we'll walk over to USA College Day together to jump the queue for priority entry at 4:15 pm!
4:30 pm – 7:30 pm, College Day fair opens to the public.

- Do you Make the Grade? Get feedback on school profiles, transcript and reference letters (you'll be able to submit these in the lead up to the conference and we'll email you in the summer)
- Who Gets In? You Decide: Mock admissions workshop with Rebekah Westphal, Yale College & Janet Irons, Harvard College
- You've Got Questions? We've Got Answers: Roundtable discussion with admissions counsellors and experts in the field

Don't forget your Uni in the USA book! As a special conference bonus, you may buy the book online ahead of time for a greatly reduced rate of £13. (It'll be for sale on the day and after for £18.) You'll have the option at check-out. You will pick-up the book AT THE CONFERENCE! (Therefore avoiding shipping fees!)
