About this event
This two-hour online training event is designed for museum trustees, staff or volunteers, from museums already invited or likely to be invited to submit an accreditation return in 2025/ 2026, or currently Working Towards Accreditation. Learn about the 2018 Museum Accreditation Standard, and when and how to prepare your application. Speakers Philip Claris and Tim Burge (Technical Accreditation Advisers, Museum Development South West), Vicki Hopson (Relationship Manager for Museum Accreditation, Arts Council England) and Anna Rhodes (Outreach Officer, Collections Trust) will provide guidance and key information for all applicants, and highlight the support and resources available to you. They will answer your questions about accreditation in this live online Zoom session.

This session is for Trustees, staff or volunteers – everyone who may be involved in preparing an accreditation return or application, whether as a first time applicant or as a refresher.

Philip Claris and Tim Burge are Technical Accreditation Advisers for Museum Development South West. Vicki Hopson is Relationship Manager for Museum Accreditation at Arts Council England, and Anna Rhodes is Outreach Officer for the Collections Trust.

How will this session be delivered and what equipment do I need?
This session will be delivered online using Zoom a cloud based video conferencing service. The service is free to use, all you need is either a laptop, tablet/ iPad or phone. Your device will need to be able to stream video and sound. If you are using a laptop you can simply connect via your web browser. If using a tablet/ iPad or phone you will need to download the app (free to download) to connect to the session. Full instructions on how to join the session will be issued direct to the email address provided at the point of booking before the session takes place.
