Description

About the Day:

Is your museum looking to create more dynamic collections; broaden your public engagement or develop your audiences? Are you interested in embracing a wide range of influences and or practices to help you achieve this? If so this session on the Creative Case for Diversity is for you!

The Creative Case for Diversity recognises and champions that diversity is our strength and that equality of opportunity is crucial to enriching the work we do as cultural producers. As custodians of heritage we have a unique opportunity to share the rich histories within our collections and using the Creative Case for Diversity we can fully realise their potential.

Featuring a range of speakers from the south west and beyond this session will cover: what the Creative Case for Diversity means; how to build meaningful partnerships with communities; diversify your programming and how to reach new audiences. It will also consider the internal and external barriers you may face and how you can approach these, as well as how to evaluate the impact of your work so you can keep moving forward.
