Description

About the day

As the song said “Money makes the world go round” and in the current climate, it is essential for museums to look at new ways of generating income.

This day will look at how you can use the facilities and resources of your museum to bring in extra income, using examples from across the South West and the rest of the UK. You will see how museums have taken creative approaches to bring in money.

You will also have a chance to ask questions and share your thoughts on how museums can find new ways to generate income.

While the day is not focused on the ethics of income generation, it will look at an overview of the issues and how these can affect the approach museums take.
