Event Information
About this Event
Employers and key stakeholders from across the South West are invited to join SWAAN Vice Chair, Chris Young from Hinkley Point C, and a variety of key participants in what should prove to be a highly inspirational and informative webinar on Widening Participation in Apprenticeships for those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Simply grab a cuppa and please join us for an hour!
Hear from organisations across the region with experience of recruiting and supporting young people with Special Educational Needs. Employers range in size from an SME to Hinkley Point C. Topics include supported placements, accessible websites, use of the Disability Confident box, extending/modifying apprenticeships, job coaches, bite-sized training for employers, and a presentation from the perspective of an SEN school - one of our SWAAN Ambassadors.
The Coffee Break Dial-Ins are delivered via Microsoft Teams and registered participants will be sent a live dial-in link by 8.30am on the day of the event.
Each webinar is recorded and will be made available for a limited period after the event to any SWAAN Ambassadors who may be unable to join us on the day. Headlines from the event, including case studies, success stories and challenges raised, will also be shared with the Education and Skills Funding Agency. We will not retain your registration details after the event and will not use your details for any mailing purposes.
How to get involved: (1) Please add the event to your calendar (2) Register to attend via Eventbrite here (3) Click on the live link to the event that we will email on the day.
