Overview

Come and join in with our guided quiet body doubling, a virtual space with low-stimulation to help you tick things off your to-do list.

What is body doubling?

Body doubling is any activity where a group of people get together to work together in order to keep each other from getting distracted. The idea has become popular through neurodiverse communities because it can be very helpful for people who struggle with motivation, focus, executive function, etc.

What you might body double:

  • Meal planning, cooking, or eating
  • Decluttering a doom pile or area at home
  • Starting or completing a project
  • Administration tasks you've been avoiding
  • Creative work, organizing—anything at all

How it will work:
Welcome (6:00-6:10)

We'll start by sharing what we're hoping to work on today. Feel free to use your mic or pop it in the chat - whatever feels comfortable for you.

Body Doubling Time (6:10-6:50)

This is your time to focus on your tasks while we're all together. You're welcome to use the chat function as much or as little as you like, and mics will be off so everyone can concentrate.

Closing (6:50-7:00)

We'll wrap up by sharing how things went - no pressure to have "achieved" anything, just a space to reflect if you'd like. Again, share over mic or in the chat, whatever works for you.

Things to consider:
• Late arrivals welcomed without explanation
• Participants can step away as needed without announcing why
• Different work styles accepted—some may need to move, others to be completely still
• Please respect everybody's differences in goals and task choice, productivity or energy levels, and participation styles
