Swansea Fungi Foray 2025

This has become an annual event thanks to its popularity and the expertise of our leader, Teifion Davies.

Teifion, an amateur mycologist and retired head gardener at Clyne Gardens, will lead a group looking for edible and non-edible fungi in the oak/beech woodland which covers a major part of the Clyne Valley Country Park. Please wear clothing and footwear suitable for woodland walks and appropriate for the weather forecast on the day.

The start point is Ynys Newydd car park, off Ynys Newydd Road, Swansea. Grid reference SS616915, East:261600 North:191500, near the Council Recycling Site in Derwen Fawr, Sketty.

Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please book separately for each person attending.

This event is free but we request at least £1 donation per adult to help cover the Wildlife Trust group's costs. We have a card machine but please bring some cash just in case our mobile phone signal isn't good! Many thanks.
