Swap & Play | Reuseolution

By ecobirmingham

Overview

Bring along clothes to swap, discover second-hand treasures, enjoy our stay & play area for little ones #reuseolution - Buy Nothing New Jan!

Come along to our Swap & Play | Reuseolution event on Saturday 17th January — a fun, family-friendly way to kick off your New Year’s Resolution. Reuseolution is part of our ‘Buy Nothing New January’ campaign, helping you start the year with positive, sustainable habits!

Small actions can make a big difference to the limited resources our planet can provide! Instead of heading to the shops, come along to swap what you no longer need, find something new-to-you, and have fun with the kids at the same time!

🌱 How the Swap Works

Bring good-quality, clean clothing and accessories (please check our guideline poster on what we can accept).

You’ll be able to browse and swap items (one item for one item) — a brilliant way to refresh wardrobes without buying new.

This swap is open to:

Women’s clothing / Men’s clothing / Children’s clothing / Large accessories i.e bags, hats.

Swapping is free and accessible and inclusive to everyone . We are hoping to have a good range of Asian clothing, particulary wedding clothes to swap too so please bring along!

🧸 Stay & Play Area (ages 6 months–5 years) 11.30am to 2.30pm

After swapping, little ones can enjoy our relaxed stay-and-play space with toys and activities designed for ages 6 months to 5 years.

This makes it a perfect event for families who want to take part in Reuseolution together.

Light Refreshments

Cold drinks will be available so you can take a break, chat, and enjoy the community atmosphere.

🌿 Take Part in Our Sustainable Action Plan & receive a FREE BOTANICAL GARDENS ENTRY ticket!

We’re excited to launch our brand-new Sustainable Action Plan online toolkit — full of tips to help you live more sustainably throughout the year.

Complete the toolkit at the event and you will receive a free ticket to Birmingham Botanical Gardens worth £10!
