Step back in time and tread the ancient paths of Britain's Neolithic history with a guided walk along the famed Sweet Track. Preserved in the peat of Shapwick Heath for nearly 6000 years, the timber trackway offers a fascinating insight into prehistoric engineering, woodwork and travel.

Led by Reserve Manager Jon Macaulay, this exclusive 3-hour tour will start at the Avalon Marshes Centre and take you onto the Shapwick Heath reserve.

Cost

The guided tour is free as part of the national Heritage Open Days celebration.
