Meet on bridge at rear of The Locksbrook Inn, Bath, BA1 3EN
Sweet Waters: short and longer creative performative walks along the River Avon between Bath and Bristol sensing the legacies of slave-ownership. Wayfaring in obscured histories, reflecting on flow, cycle and memory; alert for sounds, voices, tears, sweat and blood suspended in the water.
From Weston Lock to Saltford Brass Mill Approx 5 miles. Level path.

Walkers are encouraged to contribute and share their experiences, there will be opportunities to stop and reflect, write, sketch make recordings and connect on social networks. Richard White plans to work with these for a future creative piece. Artists, poets, historians, naturalists and creatives of all kinds are very welcome.
Walks will go ahead regardless of the weather. All the routes have been recced and details /further information will be supplied on booking. Sorry, no dogs.
Walkers are expected to assess themselves as fit for the distance, come suitably equipped and to carry water and food, there will be pub/cafe stops.
